About PJO

The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra has a long history, reaching back into the 1960s. In the summer of 2009, it was officially reformed, and the band’s first performance was at the annual Highland Park Reservoir of Jazz in the city’s Highland Park. The new PJO also secured a home at the newly built August Wilson African American Cultural Center on Liberty Ave downtown.
