Romanesque to victorian, neoclassical to brutalist, each unique building is an architectural study all its own. Washington, d.c., capital of the united states, coextensive with the district of columbia, located on the northern shore of the potomac river. Most of the city has stayed true to l’ enfant’s vision.

This architecture site aims to promote washington dc architects as well as the city’s architecture. Romanesque to victorian, neoclassical to brutalist, each unique building is an architectural study all its own. In 1980, it was partially renovated to serve as a part of the university of the district of columbia. The commission was inspired by l'enfant's 1791 plan for the city, which had not been fully realized.
